When it comes to self-improvement, reflection and awareness are good habits to practice. A good way to self-assess is to ask what we would think about ourselves if we were looking from the outside.
Reflect on the following questions:
- Am I naturally inclined to appreciate or criticize others?
- Am I prepared to show love in a way that aligns with my potential partner’s preferences, rather than imposing my own assumptions?
- Are my expectations of my partner in line with my expectations of myself? Are those expectations realistic?
- Am I willing to look inward, no matter who I think is “wrong” or “right”?
