Associate Sexologist
The Associate Sexologist certification is an intermediate-level credential designed for individuals who have completed foundational sexology training and are ready to begin applying their knowledge in clinical or coaching settings. This level combines rigorous academic instruction with hands-on experience, bridging the gap between theory and supervised practice.
- 8 hours of advanced lectures on applied sexology frameworks, ethics, and client-centered approaches
- 50 hours of supervised one-on-one sessions with clients
All sessions must be conducted with documented oversight, including regular case reviews and performance evaluations. This stage serves as a critical apprenticeship toward full certification as a Sexologist.
Associate Sexologists are qualified to conduct one-on-one counseling or coaching sessions focused on sexual wellness, relationship dynamics, and psychoeducation—strictly under supervision by a certified sexologist or approved clinical supervisor. This structure ensures ethical practice, clinical accountability, and continued professional growth.
In addition to supervised client work, Associate Sexologists are also qualified to facilitate Sexology Facilitator trainings, helping to guide others through foundational sexology concepts and reflective learning experiences.
