Basics of Sexology (Level 1)

Unprude Sexology Level 1: Sexology for Virgins is a beginner-friendly course for psychologists, professionals, and anyone curious about sexology. It introduces the basics of sex, sexuality, and sexual health in a way that’s easy to understand. The sessions are online, with an optional in-person culminating activity.

This course helps participants explore their own sexual views and develop the confidence to talk about sex in a respectful and informed way. It covers sexual health basics, empathetic communication, and how to have open, judgment-free conversations.

By the end of the course, participants will feel comfortable discussing sex with respect for different values and beliefs. They will be able to promote open, inclusive, and positive conversations about sexuality.

Level 1: Sexology for Virgins is the first module of both Unprude’s 3-Level Sexology Certification Program and Sexology Educator Program.

Level 1 is open to everyone. For the first cohort, enrollment will be on a first-come, first-served basis, as we have limited slots available.

Course Goals

Promote Openness and Comfort in Discussing Sexuality:
Equip participants with the confidence and skills to engage in open, respectful conversations about sexuality, overcoming common barriers of discomfort and stigma.

Build Foundational Knowledge in Sexual Health:
Provide participants with essential knowledge of sexual anatomy, pleasure, myths, and common dysfunctions, enabling them to speak accurately and confidently about basic sexual health concepts.

Foster Cultural Sensitivity and Respect:
Cultivate an understanding of Filipino cultural and religious influences on sexual norms, helping participants to approach sexual topics with respect for diverse values and perspectives.

Enhance Relationship Communication Skills:
Teach basic communication and conflict resolution techniques, focusing on intimate relationships, to support constructive conversations around sexual needs and preferences.

Develop Empathetic and Active Listening Skills:
Strengthen participants' ability to listen non-judgmentally and respond empathetically, fostering a supportive environment for sharing personal sexual experiences and concerns.
