Upcoming Workshop
Talking to kids about sex, bodies, and relationships can feel awkward—but it doesn’t have to be. Research shows that children who receive age-appropriate, comprehensive sex education are more likely to make informed choices, delay risky behavior, and build healthier relationships (UNESCO, UNFPA, UNICEF, WHO, & UNAIDS, 2018).
According to the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA), sexuality education works best when it starts early, is developmentally appropriate, and is rooted in empathy, respect, and science.
Yet in today’s world, silence is no longer an option. Children are no longer learning just from classmates or media—they’re getting answers from algorithms.
With the rise of artificial intelligence and digital platforms, young people are turning to chatbots, forums, and AI companions to ask questions they’re afraid to ask adults. Some are even building emotional relationships with AI, which can subtly shape their understanding of love, sex, and connection.
As parents, we cannot afford to be the last to join the conversation. However, many of us are ill-equipped to teach our children—because what we teach is often shaped by what we were taught (or not taught) ourselves.
This workshop offers parents a rare chance to pause, reflect, and reframe. It’s an opportunity to explore your own values, question inherited beliefs, and clarify the kind of sex education you want to offer your child—and build the skills to do it. One that’s both intentional and evidence-based.
- A 1-hour lecture on comprehensive sex education, based on UNFPA international guidelines, and how it fits within our values and belief systems
- A 2-hour LEGO® SERIOUS PLAY® session to explore parenting values through model-building and storytelling
- A supportive, non-judgmental space to reflect on how your upbringing influences your parenting and what you want to improve on
- Insightful group dialogue with other parents navigating the same concerns
